ARRDEC HIV interventions are majorly in the prevention thematic focus which includes Social and Behavioral Change Communication (SBCC), HIV Counseling & Testing Services (HTS), Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission of HIV (PMTCT) and Sexual and Reproductive Health(SRH), provision of care and support for Vulnerable Children affected by HIV, and providing psychosocial support for people living with HIV.
About twenty four thousand six hundred and three (24,663) persons benefitted from ARRDEC’s HIV intervention activities as at July,2020.
ARRDEC have successfully implemented several programs on this thematic area and have through these programs impacted several thousands of people.

SBCC& HTS PROGRAMS
About 8,822 men and women of reproductive age (15-49yrs), have received quality information on HIV prevention, 10577 persons Comprising men and women of reproductive age and children have received HIV counseling and testing, 3964 Out-of-school youths Aged (15-24yrs), have received quality information on HIV prevention, and over 500 men and women of reproductive who tested positive to HIV were referred to facilities and enrolled for treatment.
Maternal and Child Health Programs (PMTCT)Through our PMTCT programs, several pregnant women and newborns have been impacted. About 957 Pregnant women have been persuaded and enrolled for Ante Natal Care at the health facilities, over 50 HIV+Pregnant women persuaded and enrolled for PMTCT at the health facilities, over 50HIV-exposed infants have received Early infant Diagnosis (EID) for HIV, and about 1,364 women Of Reproductive Age have received HIV counseling & Testing Services (HTS) through our Maternal and Child Health Programs.
