ARRDEC Participates At The International Cancer Week, October, 2021

The 2021 edition of the International Cancer Week (ICW), organized by Federal Ministry of Health was held on Monday 26th through Saturday 30th October at NAF Conference Centre and Suites, Abuja, Nigeria. This year’s event with the theme, “Cancer Care for All Through Strategic Advocacy and Investment featured a wide range of in-person and virtual sessions, discussions, trainings, and networking opportunities for stakeholders.
The event attracted lots of dignitaries, giants in health sectors, host of other stakeholders. Among the dignitaries in attendance included The First Lady of Ondo State, in the person of Mrs. Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu; First Lady of Enugu State, in the person of Mrs. Monica Ugochi Ugwuanyi; Gov. of Kebbi State, His Excellency Abubakar Atiku Bagudu; the Permanent Secretary of Federal Ministry of Health, in the person of Mr. Mahmuda Mamman; the Fisrt Lady of Kebbi State and Chair Person of First Ladies Against Cancer (FLAC), in the person of Dr. Zainab Magudu; Country Reprehensive of WHO, represented by Dr. Walter; President of AROTIC, in the person of Dr. Abubakar Bello; President of Nigerian Cancer Society, in the person of Dr. Adamu Alhassan Umar; Vice President of American Cancer Society, Dr. O’Brien; President of Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA) and wife of Chief of Army Staff, in the person of Mrs. Salamatu Faruk Yahaya; and host of other dignitaries.
ARRDEC was represented at the event by Mr. Kennedy Nwokenna, the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (PM&EO) and Miss Stephanie Bassey, the Finance Officer (FO).
